Thursday 16 March 2006 Hi,
The selling bit |

What do you want to be when you grow up? Send me your answer! I'll post the results in a future issue :-) I want to be a rock star, among other things. You may be aware that I was in a band at high school. We gigged around Melbourne and released a record in about 1986 which received international acclaim (well, two fan letters from England). Anyway, I have decided to revive my rock career, for better or worse. It's all top secret at the moment, of course, but I can tell you that I have started a band together with a friend. There are a few minor challenges at the moment (no songs, no drummer, nowhere to rehearse), but I'm sure we'll work through them. There's one thing you might be able to help us with. If you know anyone who has a bass guitar which they desperately want to give away to a good home, please get in touch. Oh, and if you want to suggest a name, that would be cool, too. Rock on! |

Why haven't you done this yet? Last issue I told you about my scintillating blog. No, really, it isn't just the compulsive ramblings of a depressed teenager like the blogs you're thinking of. I actually write about stuff you may give a @#$* about. For example, some of the posts to date:
And I've yet to post the promised short article on getting free media coverage - or how to double the chance of getting your news release run. So that's something to look forward to :-) The blog entries are usually more frequent, a bit more topical, and much shorter than what you find in this newsletter. OK, so how do you get it? Easy. Point your browser at www.stevenpam.com.au/blog. You can of course subscribe from there with your favourite feed reader. Or if you're not quite techno-savvy enough for that, you can even get new posts by e-mail, by clicking here. |

Referral magic Did you know we get a substantial number of our new subscribers to this newsletter from referrals? So if you are one of the people who referred a friend or colleague, thank you! Speaking of referrals - you may not realise this, but we do almost no advertising. So work referrals are very important to us. At the moment we are looking to add another PR agency to our books. So if you know anyone in that industry, please do let them know about us. And if you've just subscribed and you're wondering my newsletters usually look like, the back issues are online at www.stevenpam.com.au/news. Enjoy! |
