Monday 7 June 2006

Hello,

Well, I've broken my previous record and it's been four months since the last newsletter. A lot can happen in four months!

The big news: WE'VE MOVED (to the other side of the river, and all!)

Much as we loved it at the Brunswick Business Incubator, it was time for us to move onwards and upwards to bigger, fancier premises. All the better to pamper you with!

Here's our reception area and client lounge (with a proper espresso machine!):

And our 400 square metre studio:

How did we manage all of this? I'm glad you asked. We've joined forces with the lovely people at D&D Global Group, which also means we can now help you with your high quality offset printing, as well as digital print and design. Just ask!

But of course it's not all cafe lattes and bikini models. We have actually been out taking pictures, too. So as always, here's a little selection since the last newsletter (you can click on a pic for more info):

It's that time of year!

Yes, your accountant is being nice to you - in case you didn't notice, it's nearly the end of the financial year - which also means 'annual report season' is not far away.

To minimise interference with our regular work, we're going to be pretty strict about the number of annual reports we take on this year. So if you need some fresh photography for yours, I suggest you get in touch quick-smart so that we can set some time aside on the calendar for you.

In the meantime, although June is now booked up, there are some dates available at the start of July:

Thursday 6 July
Friday 7 July
Tuesday 11 July

Act fast if you'd like to grab one :-)

You want to be a *what*?

In the last issue I mentioned that I wanted to be a rock star when I grow up - and asked people to let me know what they wanted to be.

My favourite responses (these are NOT made up, I promise):

  • "A giraffe"
  • (from the USA) "a pilot for Australia because Australia is the best place on earth"
  • "Despite your advice about becoming a lawyer I still can't help but want to get into photography "

I also asked for suggestions for names for the band. Some of these were pretty funny, too, but you'll have to wait and see on that one...

Speaking of alternate careers - I haven't given up on the rock star thing, but in the meantime, have launched a video podcast (if that's double-dutch to you, an internet TV show) for dogs and their owners, called Hound TV. You can watch the show right on the website, or subscribe with iTunes or by e-mail.

Every episode we feature a 'Hound of the week', so if you think your dog has what it takes, drop me a line!

...and if you know anyone who loves dogs, please let them know about the show, too.

OK, that's it for now... you and I both have work to do. So let's get to it!

Until next time -

Cheers,

Steven Pam
