Shooting people is one of the most rewarding jobs for any photographer, but comes with its own set of challenges; usually time is limited and it's important to quickly build a rapport with the subject(s). It's essential to have some understanding of what a person is 'about' to be able to portray them properly.

What people photography has in common with any other subject, though, is understanding what the client is trying to communicate and then making that into a reality.
